The primary objective of the WebDAV Client project is to provide a WebDAV client API for the Mozilla runtime (XULRunner, Mozilla, Firefox).
The API is an implementation for the WebDAV (Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning) protocol according to RFC2518 (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2518.txt).
For more information about WebDAV, refer to the following URL: http://www.webdav.org/
Here is a short and simple explanation of WebDAV and the client. Imagine an FTP client that uses HTTP protocol for browsing and for file exchange. With WebDAV you can manage remote directory structures, files and properties on them using the HTTP protocol as a transport mechanism.

A secondary objective for the project is to develop a WebDAV GUI client similar to the DAV Explorer Java client (http://www.davexplorer.org/).
The API is a pre-requisite for the GUI client development. The GUI client is planned to work as a standalone application (XULRunner), and as a plug-in to XUL based browsers (Mozilla, Firefox).

Note: If you want to add an area for user feedback to any of your pages, take a look at the notes.html template.
